Fourballs Competitions on Wednesdays and Sundays have been very popular at Delgany for many years. Our computer based Competition Entry System now produces a label for your competition cards that, for singles, usually contains all of the necessary information to complete a valid entry for that given competition. Normally all that you need to do as a player is make sure that you and your marker sign your card. You are still obliged to check the rest of the information to make sure that it is correct.
Fourballs are a bit more of a challenge. The computer system cannot facilitate “cross overs” at the moment so this must be done manually. The big challenge however is handicaps. At the moment, the computer system does not print the players’ handicaps on the card. You are obliged to record your Handicap Index, Course Handicap and Playing Handicap for that competition.
On Sunday 22nd May 2022 we had to disqualify 22% of the cards returned because the handicap information was missing.
Please ensure that your correct Handicap Index, Course Handicap and Playing Handicap for that competition are on your card when you return your card to competitions. No one should be dis- qualified from a competition so please work with us to help you enjoy your golf.
