Hosted by President Greg and Captains Ann and Pat this year again the Past Captains and Past Presidents held a combined event on Thursday 15th Sept. The day started off with an afternoon 9 hole competition mixed team competition which was followed by dinner in the clubhouse. This annual event is a great opportunity for those who have represented the club in the past to get together in a relaxed atmosphere, swap stories and enjoy the facilities the club has to offer.
Nine teams competed in the pre-dinner golf which was organised as teams of 4 with two scores to count on each hole. In the end the team of Jim Farrell, Mary Markey, Eamon Heffernan and Michael Scannell emerged as the victors with a score of 46 points, closely followed as runners up by the team of Joe Codyre, Ann Marie Monahan, Frank McGee and Kathryn McGee with 45 points.
Captain Pat thanked Paul Hautz and Dick Cotter who had cards filled out and provided results and the Bar and Catering Staff who presented an excellent meal.
