Captain’s Prize to the Men

The final day of the Captains prize to the Men was played on Saturday 19th August, Great credit was due to the course staff who despite Storm Betty knocking trees and branches plus dumping a huge rainfall during the night were out early and had the course in great condition.

The Golf and prize giving were followed by the Captains Dinner where those attending were treated to a fantastic meal and entertainment. Photographer Tony Corcoran was on hand to capture the event and some of his Photos can be seen here. He seemed too have recovered from his shock when Captain Tom during his speech quoted from his vision of a future Delgany Dispatch from 2043 where Tony was still editor.
