Delgany beat Wicklow to win the Powerscourt Cup 2023
Delgany GC played Wicklow GC in the Powerscourt Cup Final at Powerscourt Golf Club on Saturday 30th September. The match was played in Dreadful conditions and was closely fought by both teams. Delgany however came out on top to Win.

The Powerscourt Cup is played in the Scotch Foursomes format, Players can be no lower than 15.5 Handicap on 1st January with a combined maximum for each pair of 34 and they must be 24 years of age or older.
A slightly unusual additional rule is that anyone going below 14.5 handicap index during the course of the Competition is no longer eligible even if they have played in earlier rounds. This caused some headaches for team management as they lost players at short notice during the course of the competition, however they coped well and exhibited great skill in picking a successful team guiding Delgany through the Qualifying rounds and to victory in the Final.
