The story of the “Endurance” expedition of 1914-1917. Sir Ernest Shackleton attempted to be the first to cross the Antarctic Continent on foot. Unfortunately, his expedition ran into difficulties when the Endurance became frozen in the Weddel Sea, was crushed and sank. The expedition then became a matter of survival and what has become known as the most amazing rescue in maritime history.
